In the movie 2012 the image portrayed is that of doom and gloom. The movie is based on prophecy’s relating to the Mayan and Aztec calendars which end in December 12, 2012 which is also the end of the great cosmic cycle of 26000 years. What that actually means is that our solar system or the milky way are part of a circling orbit or an astronomical time clock that is continuously rotating and is about to complete its 26000 year cycle and begin a new this has now been confirmed by many scientists. And according to the research our planet shifts or rather the north and south poles shift polarity. Noted theoretical physicist Michio Kaku states that from the information discovered our planet has a history of shifting its polarity. Also while the Mayan and Aztec calendars provide only hints of a supposed cataclysm without specifics and knowing what we know now scientifically we would be foolish to ignore any particular signs. The Mayan and Aztec cultures were very advanced more so than we give them credit for. They have left us a message or a warning per say through their archaeology. As we decipher more and more of the information we can better prepare ourselves for whatever particular turbulence our planet “is” about to go through. With emphasis on “is” while the movie depicts complete destruction pushing our existence to an almost total inhalation which is a bit to the extreme. We also do not want to panic people either. Even though the movie is to wow audiences our planet is already going through the motions. As we have seen with earthquakes in recent months occurring in the Pacific Rim. One would think that human kind is about to have a biblical awakening.
